Blessings to you on the first night of Rosh Hashanah! Rosh Hashanah is the celebration of the Jewish new year. Leviticus 16 sets the celebration apart as a yearly fresh start.

…In the seventh month, on the first of the month, there shall be a sabbath for you, a remembrance with shofar blasts, a holy convocation. -Leviticus 16:24
